Barry has 39 years of real estate experience. After owning his own firm “Gogal Real Estate Ltd.” he spent a number of years with Canada Trust as ICI Manager and Manager Business Development. He has been very active in all levels of organized real estate from the Canadian Real Estate Association to past president of the Alberta Real Estate Association and the Edmonton Real Estate Board. Barry was elected to the Real Estate Council of Alberta very early in the formation of the board and chaired the Conduct Advisory Committee. He served as chairman of RECA for 2 years.

Barry now specializes in Commercial, Industrial, Investment, Leasing, Development, Commercial Condominiums and Asset & Property Management. He has brought a number of business condominium projects to the table and we are very excited about the product we have to offer.

As Broker/Owner of Western Realty Group Inc. Barry has developed a very strong reputation as a “mover and shaker” in all areas of real estate.

Janis James - Administration Manager

Janis is Barry’s executive assistant and has been a licensed realtor since 1995. Her 15 years with Western Realty Group has given her a diverse range of tools with which to assist in Barry’s success. She has many years of administration experience to add to the formula.

Janis has been active in developing our condo sales program and works closely with lawyers and lenders to make the process as uncomplicated as possible.

Jordan Gogal - Associate

Jordan has been licensed as an Agent since 2002 and has become a very valuable asset to our team. He works closely with Barry and has gained extensive knowledge and expertise in the sales & development aspect of our portfolio. Jordan does a great deal of work researching properties and possibilities for both Tenants and Landlords.

Jordan has played a very big part in the business condo development part of our business and deals extensively with contractors, developers and clients.

Rayna Rose - Property Manager - Associate

Rayna has been licensed as an Agent since 2003 and is currently our Property Manager. She is a U of A Alumni & graduated with a BSc. She brings to our team experience in the financial, marketing, & customer relations fields. Her excellent computer and analysis skills have added greatly to our advertising & marketing program. We are confident that our presentation of client’s properties is second to none.

Rayna is in the process of obtaining her certification with the Canadian Condominium Institute and has become the resident expert on all condo matters.

Rayna is Barry’s daughter and we are excited to have her in the family business.

Carolyn Smolley - Associate

Carolyn is another member of our team and has excelled in sales and leasing since joining the company in 2005. She brings with her a diverse background that includes everything from self-employment, management, accounting, and Director of Operations for a large company in Edmonton.

Carolyn has proven to be a real digger and has placed tenants and sold properties all over the city. Her diligence in presenting properties to the market has added much to our success.
